Thanks for trying Snooze (TM) Version 1.0. This is the first version.
DESCRIPTION-
Snooze is a TSR (terminate and stay resident) clock with a snooze alarm.
Once loaded, you can call up the clock or set the alarm from within
other programs simply by pressing the Hot Keys (Alt F6 or Alt F7). Once
the alarm is set, it will pop up at the approriate time in whatever
program you are in. When the alarm pops up, it displays the current
time, plays a tune, and allows you to either acknowledge(turn off),or
select a 3 minute or 5 minute snooze before the alarm pops up again.
I hope you find it useful.
John Owen
REGISTRATION BENEFITS -
As a registered user you will receive the simple instructions
on how to remove the shareware screen, and license to continue
using Snooze (TM).
FAST START-
Snooze requires no instalation. Simply copy it to the directory of
your choice, and load it from the command line, a batch file or from
your autoexec.bat. Once loaded simply press the Alt key and the F6
key to view the current time and date, or the Alt key and the F7 key
to set the alarm. Alt F8 deactivates (uninstalls) the program. This
should be done from the command line, as conflicts may occur when
deactivating from within some large programs.
To set the alarm press the Alt key and the F7 key. A window will
pop up stating the current time and prompting you to enter the
hour. Enter the hour in standard AM/PM format (1-12 AM, 1-12PM)
and press the enter key. Next enter the minute at the minute prompt.
At the third prompt enter AM or PM.
When the alarm pops up you will be prompted to select a snooze time,
or OK (acknowledge and turn off the alarm). The Space Bar sets a 3
minute snooze, the enter key a 5 minute snooze. If you select snooze,
the alarm will pop up again in 3 or 5 minutes. Like a clock radio, it
will continue to do this until you select OK.
Snooze is a text mode TSR, and therefore works in most DOS based
applications (word proccessors, text editors, etc.), the windows
won't pop up in graphic modes however (video games, paint programs).
The files you should have received are:

DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE
Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
using it, you are expected to register.
Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
specific group. For example, some authors require written
permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
Shareware.
Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.
And because the overhead is low, prices are low also. Shareware
has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
product, you don't pay for it.
DISCLAIMER - AGREEMENT
Users of Snooze (TM) must accept this disclaimer of warranty:"Snooze
(TM) Version 1.0 is supplied as is. The author disclaims all
warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation, the
warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The
author assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential,
which may result from the use of Snooze (TM) Version 1.0."
Snooze (TM) is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge to
the user for evaluation. Feel free to share it with your friends, but
please do not give it away altered or as part of another system. The
essence of "user-supported" software is to provide personal computer
users with quality software without high prices, and yet to provide
incentive for programmers to continue to develop new products. If you
find this program useful and find that you are using Snooze (TM) and
continue to use Snooze (TM) after a reasonable trial period, you must
make a registration payment of $5.00 to Owen Associates.
The $5.00 registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
computer at any one time. You must treat this software just like a book.
An example is that this software may be used by any number of people and
may be freely moved from one computer location to another, so long as
there is no possibility of it being used at one location while it's being
used at another. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons
at the same time.
Commercial users of Snooze (TM) must register and pay for their copies of
Snooze (TM) within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn.
Site-License arrangements may be made by contacting:
OWEN ASSOCIATES
PO Box 307
New Milford,CT 06776
Voice phone (203) 350 - 2194
Anyone distributing Snooze (TM) for any kind of remuneration must first
contact OWEN ASSOCIATES at the address above for authorization. This
authorization will be automatically granted to distributors recognized
by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for shareware distributors,
and such distributors may begin offering Snooze (TM) immediately
(However OWEN ASSOCIATES must still be advised so that the distributor
can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of Snooze (TM).).
You are encouraged to pass a copy of Snooze (TM) along to your friends
for evaluation. Please encourage them to register their copy if they
find that they can use it.
